Punta Cana Dominican Republic

Amazing vacation, best place to go. We go every year, sometimes twice a year. Youyou was the best, so welcoming and friendly, and he brought so much energy to the dance floor!

Vacation was absolutely fantastic! Youyou was so welcoming and excited to meet all of us. He was always energetic and nice to everyone.

This is my second year in a row coming to Club Med Punta Cana. We stayed in the Exclusive Collection two-bedroom which was perfect for our family which includes a 3-year-old. We loved that we could enjoy waterviews, a private porch, and cocktails while she was napping. The staff in the exclusive collection was top-notch as well- so friendly and accommodating, some remembered us from last year which made the whole thing very welcoming.

We were supposed to visit another Club Med, but after it unexpectedly shut down, we were redirected to Punta Cana. What started as a surprise ended up being a fantastic upgrade for our whole group of two families (6 adults, 4 kids - 3 generations).

Room – Deluxe Family Suite
Our Deluxe Family Suite worked perfectly. The kids had their own room, we had two full bathrooms, and the space never felt cramped. The view of the lawn and ocean was relaxing, and we appreciated being close to the el Mundo and the Theatre.

Mini-Club – Absolutely Outstanding
The Mini-Club team made this trip unforgettable for our kids.

Our 5-year-old was in the 4–5 group and couldn’t stop talking about King, Kyky, Gabriella, Japhet, and Winnie. Circus school, water park, and the nightly show were his favorites.

Our 9-year-old joined the 8–10 group and loved spending time with Ralph, Jeffson, Vero, and John C. She especially enjoyed circus activities, sailing, dancing, and the waterpark.
Extra thanks as well to Davidson and Banana — both wonderful with the kids. Their energy and kindness made such a difference.

Tennis
The resort’s 11-court setup is impressive. Mornings were a bit hit-or-miss due to wet courts, but overall we loved having such easy access to tennis. The coaching team — Javier, Germain, Alvaro, and Roman — was excellent: friendly, skilled, and fun to learn from. Would be great to see Club Med investing more into this facility to upgrade the courts, or at least resurface and repair!

Dining
Food was consistently great, with good selection and variety. For breakfast, Candido at Hispaniola took special care to prepare fresh mango and papaya separately for us each morning, given we had a few allergies in our group.

Final Thoughts
The journey from Vancouver is definitely long, but we’d do it again without hesitation. Being rerouted to Punta Cana turned out to be a blessing in disguise, and we’re already thinking about a return visit. Highly recommended for families and anyone who loves tennis, great staff, and a laid-back tropical setting. Shout out to Katia, Luca, Pepito, Miguel and YouYou who did an amazing job interacting with guests each day.
