Great family holiday

5/55/5 • 2025/10/18

This was our third Club Med holiday after visiting the Seychelles and Maldives over the past two years. The bar was high. Happy to report that it was met 😉

Let me say state why. We are a Swiss Swedish couple with a 6 years old. We felt the same hospitality and kindness towards us as to the 90% French guests.

The food was outstanding and catered towards different tastes. You could indulge or eat healthy - the were a variety of options including kids of course! My favorite were the Indian and local Mauritian dishes. Rishi and Sumit from the restaurant team took good care of us and always gave us a nice table.

We had a suite (117) which had beach access. This was great in the late afternoon for our daughter to look for shells while we enjoyed a cocktail on the terrace. Nazli, our cleaner, surprised our daughter every day with new animals made out of towels eg a sloth, elephant, swans etc. She made our stay even more special besides ensuring we always had clean and comfortable rooms.

Our daughter of purse also enjoyed the kids club activities. Michael took good care of our daughter as with many French kids it was overwhelming at times if you only spoke English and German. So she spent some time with Michael and the Kids Club and other times with us. Of course the daily Trapeze and visit to the circus team lead by Sven was a must. Can only recommend it. Very professional and yet very exciting! Well done

Lastly, the chef the village ensure that he greeted all guests on a daily basis. Ps he can also sing chansons. A must to hear him sing!

Once again - a fanatic Club Med holiday. Well done to the Chef and his fantastic team

A great place for families and couples

Kids club - a massive thank you to
Sophye! She had so much energy and care for our boys, the loved playing with the kids club. She sent us videos of them playing and was just amazing with the kids. This is really handy if you want to use the zen infinity pool. Although I’ve mentioned Sophie specially the whole crew were so nice.

Word to the wise, you can book per day or half day which works out £35 per half day. They also do an evening session as well. But you can book adhoc and it seems you need to book a week block but you don’t . That only applies to mini club med.

Cleaning & Rooms- we had Jeanie and she kept the room spotless! We had room 237 near the kid club and quite close to reception. She was so polite and realised we had a small one and installed a bed barrier to stop him falling out without asking. We saw her a few times and asked if the room was ok for us. She did an excellent job.

The whole place was spotless. I want to do a shout out to the garden crew as the grounds were beautiful. It does not like easy work but they made it a beautiful place!

We stayed in a superior garden view room. The view was nice but our friends has the sea view. My advice is if you can afford that bit more - do the sea view! Its amazing! The beds were so comfy. We slept like babies! The rooms have an iron and ironing board, little coffee machines (lavazza pods)

Food - excellent. The main restaurant is located overlooking the ocean. Really nice food and it’s a buffet style but the choice and quality was the best we have had. What we liked was the fact they themed it up. One night we had a bbq on the beach (white party) and another was a fish themed night with a Parisian show. A little shout out to Prima who was wonderful
With the kids!
We also ate at Le Pharh restaurant. Ryan was great at late breakfast as well as Vidhya who was excellent helping with reservations when the app was down. We did have a bad day when they seemed understaffed there and our SA friends bought some wine over from SA and were sometimes told to pay corkage. Their argument was that the wine was bad (muscat blend but the red was passable). Anyway it got overlooked but watch out. They will serve the local stuff but if you as for Smirnoff or something of that ilk they will do it but .. you need to
Ask! A little shout out to Dirish who was a lovely waiter/barman. Really attentive!

Pools - there are two pools. Now a point to make is that the man pool hosts aqua aerobics at 11.45 which in itself is fine but they use the shallow bit (where my kid was playing) and we sort of got booted out. Since the other pool is Zen and adults only (it’s lovely no complaints) i wasn’t overly happy being told to move to the deep bit with a 3 year old. Maybe use half the shallow bit as a compromise?

Gym - im a sad gym goer on holiday as i had time to do it. Well kept, plenty of towels there, water machine, I had nothing to complain about. It’s a hotel gym and ticked the boxes for me so was pleased. There is a steam room and sauna attached although I didn’t use them.

Activities - I thought they were quite a lot but my SA friends said it could do more. Scuba diving , snorkelling (go out on a boat), archery, golf, driving range etc… all included. We did the archery which we just had a pop at and our friends did paddle which looked fun and would loved to have tried but we were avec kids so we didn’t get the chance. Long and short we thought there was loads to do and loads we didn’t get time to try.

Overall a really great holiday and we would love to go back. We didn’t actually want to leave which is rare for us!

Unforgettable Day — Amazing Staff and Fantastic Vibes!

5/55/5 • 2025/10/13

I went to Club Med La Plantation D’Albion for a full day pass to celebrate a birthday and honestly it was a fantastic day! I’ve been to both Club Meds in Mauritius a few times, but it was my first time taking a full day and staying till evening — and wow, totally worth it.

Every single staff member, from the reception to the restaurants, was extremely welcoming. Mehdi, the GM (Chef de Village), really impressed me — it’s rare to see a hotel general manager so involved in everything! From mixing some nice variété française by the beach to hosting the cabaret night, he had amazing energy. Hats off to him 👏

Also hats off to all the G.Os — they were wonderful during the Sister Act cabaret show, proudly presenting their flags and nationalities. You can tell not only clients are happy, but the staff too, and that makes a huge difference. Special thanks to Suneet who was doing his internship in the main restaurant and did an excellent service ensuring that my friend’s birthday was well organized and celebrated.

Will definitly come back and highly recommand to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing day in paradise 🌴✨

What can I say - this was truly an amazing holiday.
It was our first time going to a Club Med resort.
I wish we had done it before - this is truly the way to travel.
The resort pays attention to so much detail - it is mind blowing.
The food, the facilities, the activities, the entertainment, the child care - all of it is top class.
We were all sad to leave - we wish we had booked for longer.
Well done Club Med on giving us an amazing holiday.
Well done on having such wonderful staff working for you.
