What's the best season in Mexico?
Mexico is an immense country, bordered by both the Pacific Ocean to the west and the Caribbean Sea to the east. Its landscapes are diverse and varied, offering each region a very specific climate. Mountains, volcanoes, seaside, luxuriant forests, but also arid regions, Mexico is the ideal place to spend a holiday full of discoveries.
To plan your departure date, remember that the country has two main seasons: the dry season and the rainy season.
To make the most of your trip, opt for a departure during the dry season, between November and April. The climate is much more pleasant. Temperatures are mild in most parts of the country, so you can enjoy your cultural visits with peace of mind, as well as the natural beauty that Mexico has to offer.
The rainy season does not prevent you from enjoying the sights, with short but intense showers interspersing your days, but nothing to spoil the pleasure of visiting this superb country.

Although the dry season is ideal for visiting most of the country, it all depends on your itinerary and your wishes. Mexico is so vast that the weather will vary from one region to another. If you're a keen hiker and want to go further inland, you'll need to leave between November and April. This is the best time to avoid the uncomfortable rains, but also the oppressive heat!
Discover the famous ‘Copper Canyon’, in the north of the country, made up of around twenty spectacular gorges. With sheer cliffs, caves and steep mountains, you'll be in the heart of an incredible natural site. Depending on what you fancy, you can explore the area on foot, on horseback or even by bike!
