Rich in Berber, Arab and European influences, Morocco is a dream destination for a change of scenery. Although it has a Mediterranean climate, with mild winters and hot summers, its great geographical diversity means that the climate varies greatly from one region to another...
What's the best time of year to visit Morocco?
Morocco is a land of wonders: palaces worthy of tales from the Thousand and One Nights, lush gardens, bustling souks with the intoxicating scent of spices, bustling streets and breathtaking beaches - it's a country that charms the senses.
Travellers can take advantage of a wide choice of activities, whether cultural, entertaining or sporting, there's something for everyone. A stay in Morocco will also be an opportunity to discover the delicious local cuisine and relax on a beach or in an authentic hammam.
The weather in Morocco is generally pleasant throughout the year, although the south has a drier climate. Summer, although very sunny, can sometimes be hard to bear, especially when the sirocco blows, a very hot wind that brings with it dust straight from the Sahara desert. To make the most of your stay in Morocco, we recommend you travel in spring and autumn, particularly in April, May and October. This way, you can avoid periods of rain or stifling heat.
Did you know?
You can travel to Morocco during Ramadan (the dates change every year).
For Muslims, this is a sacred period that brings changes to daily life. Tourists are still welcome, and it's an opportunity for genuine cultural and spiritual enrichment, tinged with fraternity and sharing.
Of course, you'll need to be careful to respect local customs to avoid making any mistakes during this period.
