The wet & dry seasons
Located close to the equator, Indonesia enjoys a hot, tropical climate. There are two seasons in which Indonesians live: the wet season and the dry season.
The wet season extends from November to April with a peak of humidity in December and January. The heat peaks and the moisture can become difficult to bear. Precipitation is higher during this season, but it is quite possible to come and enjoy Indonesia during this period.
The dry season is from May to October. This is the best time to go to Indonesia and avoid the monsoon. The climate is very pleasant, temperatures are mild (around 24°) and rainfall is scarcer. An ideal atmosphere to take advantage of the paradise beaches of the country. However, if you have the choice in your travel dates, favour the mid-season. Plan a departure in May or September, two ideal periods to enjoy Indonesia far from the crowds while benefiting from a particularly mild and sunny climate!
