You will find in Malé a fish market which is the major activity of the city. If mealtime approaches, enjoy the fish of the day which will be cooked for you in all simplicity. On the main road called Majeedhee Magu, you can visit the shops and discover the local vendors and handicrafts.

The Maldives has many mosques on many of the atolls. The most impressive is the Hukuru Miskiy Mosque, built in 17th century carved white corail. The city is also home to the National Museum, located in a magnificent garden called Sultan Park, which will introduce you to the country's past.
