Whether you're a beginner or an experienced athlete, there are a multitude of water sports awaiting you in our Resorts. All your equipment is provided and ready to use. Launch yourself from a pontoon on the other side of the world and go waterskiing or wakeboarding on a blue lagoon. Allow yourself to be carried by the sea breeze on a windsurfer or fly over the waves on a power kite. Explore the seabed on a scuba diving* expedition among shoals of multicoloured fish. PADI** experts will accompany you from the Caribbean to Asia via the Indian Ocean, among fantastically beautiful coral reefs. Set sail on a monohull or a giant trimaran. Go stand-up paddleboarding, snorkelling or kayaking: sporting holidays on and by the sea are all about choice. *At extra cost **Professional Association of Diving Instructors
Whether you are a beginner or a more experienced sailor, you can organise holidays that include sailing lessons. "You'll start with the basics that are taught on the beach," explains Christian Hilaire, Sports Expert for Club Med. "You'll then head out sea to put theory into practise. Lessons are adapted to every level: beginner, experienced, expert... Same goes for windsurfing," he adds.
As for sailing, he highly recommends Bodrum Palmiye in Turkey. "The wind is steady and the equipment perfectly adapted. You could also try a funboard - a windsurf hybrid that has added buoyancy. A technical sport that requires a good wind."
If breakneck speeds are your thing, then you'll find numerous fast water sports options that can be included in your package. Wakeboarding involves being towed by a boat for an adrenalin-pumping ride. Ditto for waterskiing, where you can choose between bi or mono-skis. At Cefalù, kitesurfing (only available during summer at an extra cost) and motorised surfing will give you a taste of the Mediterranean's impressive swells. As for surfing courses*, Bali in Indonesia has superb waves.

Where to discover and try stand up paddle boarding at Club Med.
In addition to group lessons run by expert G.O.'s, you'll also have free access to kayaks and stand up paddle boards. Head to your seaside Resort's water sports centre and gear up for a day on the water.
As the person who oversees the Resorts' sporting facilities, Christian Hilaire confirms that only top quality equipment is used. "Club Med provides paddle boards and kayaks that are included in holiday packages. You're guaranteed to find the right board for any paddle boarding session."
In Resorts that offer sailing, such as Club Med Cancun Yucatan, more experienced sailors can borrow a catamaran and raise its sail whenever they fancy. The same goes for windsurfs.
