Inspired by its environment, Club Med Quebec Charlevoix is built with locally sourced materials such as wood, stone and tile, in a modern style. It naturally follows the curves of the terrain, allowing as much natural light as possible and offering spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and river landscape.
With a view to preserving the ecological integrity and intrinsic beauty of the site, Club Med Québec Charlevoix wishes to obtain the Green Globe certification, a certification awarded when daily activities meet the strictest ecological standards. In addition, the Resort will partner with Solucycle, a company specializing in food waste management, to reduce its environmental footprint and implement a sustainable system that transforms waste into green energy or compost fertilizer. Club Med Québec Charlevoix also aims to obtain a BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) construction certificate, attesting to the teams' determination to minimize its environmental impact. The Resort's buildings are thus designed to consume the least amount of energy possible.
