Kampong life (1/2 day)
Visit to an orchid farm, the colourful market at Kemaman, coconut picking demonstration by a trained monkey; the morning ends with shopping for crafts in the traditional Malaysian village of Cherating.

Kuala Lumpur (1 day)
Visit the fascinating capital of Malaysia. After lunch in a restaurant by Lake Putrajaya, visit Kuala Lumpur and its Royal Palace, Chinese and Hindu temples, the Jamek Mosque, the National Museum, Chinatown, Central Market and the Communications Tower (422 m / 1385 ft). Stop at the Petronas Towers, the second highest building in the world.
Round off the day with shopping in the city. Transfer to the airport.
A day not to be missed.

Lake Chini (1 day)
Recommended by our Discovery Centre.
Through plantations of oil and hevea palms to the nature reserve at Lake Chini. Trip on a motor pirogue through the jungle, visit to an aboriginal village and demonstration of blowpipe shooting. Typical lunch by the lake and walk in the jungle before the return trip.

Mini-safari and elephant sanctuary (1 day)
An unique and unforgettable experience at Deerland! Discover the flora and fauna of Malaysia, with bears, deer, monkies and a host of other exotic animals. Enjoy a walk and traditional lunch in the heart of the tropical forest. Share magic moments with these astonishing Asian elephants: see them bathing and feeding in their sanctuary. Experience a shampoo and massage in a Chinese hairdresser's salon and discover the traditional night market, "Pasar Malam", rich in exotic colours, fragrances and flavours. Children of 13 and over can try the shampoo and massage.

Pahang adventures (1/2 day)
Discover some fascinating sites in the Pahang region. The Charas Caves, for example, are a majestic Buddhist sanctuary, with numerous statues of Buddha. You'll visit the Tin Museum at Sungai, and end the day at the Panching Waterfalls, a fabulous natural beauty site.
We recommend participants be in good physical condition.
Shopping at Kuantan (1/2 day)
Visit the capital of Pahang state with its Hindu temple and stop for photos at the Sultan Ahmad Shad Mosque. Free time for shopping; discover how Batik is made (traditional Malaysian textile technique).
